The journey of life can seem so unpredictable-we sometimes have little to no control over the things we experience in life. However, one thing has become clear to me, God is the great director of our journey. He knows what’s necessary for every season of our lives. Not a single detail escapes him. He is the one orchestrating and manipulating the pieces of our lives when we have surrendered it to him. He is the Master Chest player and He always sees the moves of our lives way ahead so we can trust him with our journey. Trust him with the timing of each move and the purpose of each chess piece. Trust that He wants you to win in all things and declare to the devil ” Checkmate”.

Adversity can break us, change us or benefit us.

What will it do for you?

I was talking with a friend of mine the other day and she asked me, ”why don’t we post more about our struggles, why don’t we post about the ”No’s” before the doors are open”, and I thought to myself, “why don’t we?” There are lots of people that are not currently in their winning season. They are still in the ”PROCESS”. They still need to know that sometimes it takes a bunch of No’s and a few shut doors before the right doors open, before that life-changing ”Yes”. It might require you to take the test over and over again before you pass it and come to the place where you can celebrate and have a ”look how Good God is” post. I’m not in my winning season yet. God has been good to me. But I am still processing, still growing, still broken, still messy and still learning a whole lot.

I’ve learned that there are times when you just need some encouragement along the way in the middle of the process and one particular song has really ministered to me, “You’re Bigger” by Jakalyn Carr. It has encouraged me to the point where my perspective has begun to shift. Now God is in a higher place than my problem. My problem has begun to diminish and shrink because it has to bow down to the name of Jesus. My problem is now in a position where God is BIGGER.

Friend, I’m encouraging you as you go through the process, as you are in the middle of a struggle, as you are getting those No’s, as you are getting those doors shut in your face; you keep going, don’t give up, don’t throw in the towel, don’t get discouraged. The Master Chess player is at work and He is in the Process.

God is BIGGER.

He is bigger than the biggest problem you are facing right now, the damnedest thing that has ever happened to you.

I want you to think about that problem, that struggle, that issue right now and just declare that …

God is Bigger than that…

You’re going to tell that problem that God is Bigger…

Is it cancer?

Is it abuse?

Is it brokenness?

Is it betrayal?

Is it rejection?

Is it a broken heart?

Is it marital problems?

Is it finances?

Is it your past?

Are the kids acting up?

Declare God is bigger than that…

Shout it out loud, God is bigger than that…

Friend, you are not alone in this. Several weeks ago I was pacing back and forth in my prayer closet, declaring God to be BIGGER and I did not leave until I felt  I had some victory. You talk to that problem and you tell that problem that God is bigger because He is.

Sometimes you just need a reminder that

God is BIGGER than what you’re facing.

He’s bigger than what you’ve gone through, He is bigger than what you are going through. So, you can stand steadfast, secure and confident knowing that your Daddy, your Heavenly Father who is a good father takes good care of his children. He is faithful and He is not going to leave you hanging. He is not going to leave you without support. He is not going to leave you helpless. He is not going to abandon you. He is not going to relax his hold on you. He is going to come through for you. (Deuteronomy 31:8)

So you just keep on…

keep on making those small steps.

keep on doing what you’re doing.

keep on trusting Him

keep holding on and

keep on speaking to your problems and let them know who your God is.

Declare him bigger than that… I pray this blog post will be a blessing to you and when another problem shows up, you tell that problem-God is bigger than this one too. I pray that there will be a shift in your perspective to a place where no matter what comes your way, you are ready, you know, God is bigger than this one too. Declare it ahead of time. Get your fighting boots on and get in a stand of victory because…

you know who is backing you up,

you know who is behind you,

you know who is beside you,

you know who is around you

you know who is in the midst of what you are going through

He is BIGGER than that…
