Where will your Obedience take you? …

Where will your obedience take you?

Will it take you to a Lion’s Den?

Will it take you to a Fiery Furnace?

Will it take you to a Cave or Prison?

Will it take you into a storm?

Is your measure of success based on your accomplishments, successes or your obedience?

If you knew your obedience would take you down a difficult road, would you choose convenience or obedience? Would you choose a different road?

Obedience does not always take us down an easy road of success and accomplishments. It’s not always glamorous nor does it always feel or look rewarded. Sometimes obedience feels like a mistake. Obedience can take us to a lonely road where we question if we miss God. Your obedience might not even make sense in your current situation.

But rest assured,

Obedience proceeds the promise.

Your obedience matters to God.

Your obedience mobilizes His promises.

Your obedience is the invitation for God to invade your situation. Your obedience opens the door for God to step in, at His appointed time to fulfill His promises to you.

Make no mistake, Your obedience counts.

God honors our obedience to Him.

So, if you find yourself as a result of your obedience to the Lord, on the back side of the mountain, in a fiery furnace, in a Lion’s den or in a mighty storm, rest assured, the Lord will be your rear guard. He will rescue you. He sees you.

Your step of faith, your act of obedience is duly noted by the One who matters most. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6)

Friend, be encouraged…

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, though it tarry ( seems slow in coming) , wait (earnestly), patiently because it will surely come. (Habakkuk 2:3

Your obedience is not wasted. On the other side of your obedience is a great reward. Don’t lose heart. Don’t throw in the towel. Your obedience is the premise to the promise.  Though it tarries, wait for it.

…in keeping them, there is great reward.

Continue to walk out your obedience in the midst of the storm even when the odds looked stacked up against you. When many things seem to be going wrong, trust Him regardless of what you see or feel.

Our eyes do not tell the truth about our promise or our PROMISER.

Our situation does not reveal the truth about our purpose and destiny so, don’t get tripped up by the storm. It has its purpose, but it is only temporary.

For in due season we shall reap if we faint not. (Gal 6:9)

I don’t know about you but, this verse brings me so much hope. It’s a guarantee, sure thing, that I will reap at the appointed time and season if I do not quit or, waver while I am walking out my obedience. In the midst of what looks like, a storm (whatever that might be for you), trust the One who is faithful to His EVERY promise.

Trust not only his promise but his timing (due season).
